Readily Biodegradable
Biodegradable oils and fluids are generally considered ‘Readily Biodegradable’ meaning that at least 60% of the original material will degrade back to their constituent parts, when in contact with water, sunlight and microbial activity, within 28 days, ensuring decreased spill risk.

Biobased base oils offer higher lubricity and higher viscosity than traditional petroleum based oils and fluids ensuring lower tool wear, higher heat dissipation and lower friction. These factors decrease expenses by enabling longer life for mechanical and tool parts.
Non-Toxicity
Biodegradable, biobased oils are free from harmful substances that may impose a risk to human or animal health. This ensures that any operations where a spill may occur, in a wetland for example, is safe for the environment and any spill can decrease or negate harmful effects on the environment.

Federal Purchasing Requirements.
+ The United States Department of Agriculture, the lead agency for BioBased program and Congressional informer of repeating Farm Bills, passed in 2002, 2008, and 2014 established a biobased product program to increase the purchase, and specific percentages of biobased content base federal use of products. More specifically, the Farm Bill established Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, which contains requirements for Federal and Federal Contracting purchasing.
